Great Answers only to Right Questions

If you ask me the right question, you will get a meaningful answer. If your question is ambiguous, the answers may be misleading or totally irrelevant.

This is what we humans say all the time. What happens therefore, if you are posing a query to a computer, which is nothing more than an inanimate object? I am referring to large language models, or LLMs, that have been trained on an enormous body of textual data. They therefore possess an amazing body of knowledge that no one person on the planet could ever hope to attain. Finding the most pertinent material in this knowledge base is now the challenge. Creating the right question is essential to meeting the challenge at hand. Broadly speaking, this is referred to as prompting. And here’s when the skill of prompting is essential.
