Is AI coding That Good?

Having an AI as a coding assistant is all over the news and social media platform. You probably may have also watched some of these guys creating a revolutionary website or app in 5 minutes without even writing one line of code.

It may be true… but as usual I don’t trust blindly any claim.

And since I am a programmer, I hardly believe that you can write whatever application without knowing what a Generative AI is doing for you.

I tried to connect my local Visual Studio Code to llama.cpp, and I found a way to do it 100% for free. It runs locally on my computer, with no internet connection required… and it works even if you don’t have a dedicated or powerful GPU.

The results are not what I was expecting though. Even trying to write a simple python program was not that easy at all!
