Several major companies, including Apple, Samsung, Verizon, and Wall Street banks, have imposed restrictions on generative AI use due to security concerns. While bans may seem like a straightforward solution, they can lead to unintended consequences, such as unregulated βshadowβ usage. A well-crafted policy is essential to strike a balance between innovation and security, ensuring employees use AI responsibly and effectively.
