I want to start this post with a personal confession.
As a parent, I profoundly feel guilty for not spending enough time helping my daughter do her homework as well as re-doing the exercises she might had difficulties doing. This comes from three main reasons : an obvious one, a less obvious one, and a specific one.
The obvious one is that I dramatically lack time due to a demanding job (yes, you have the right to call this an excuse, but still).
The less obvious one, is that sometimes I struggle myself to resolve some exercises, the main reason being that I can still solve them, but maybe not the way expected by the school teacher.
The specific one, is related to the language. I grew up with Arabic as my mother tongue, but we now live in France, and doing French exercises can be a struggle for me sometimes.
