The characters can remember past information, develop new thoughts, and plan future actions. They can also form relationships, remember past details, and be capable of coordinating with each other.

The research shows that memory and retrieval are crucial for the simulated characters. They can review their memories to gain new insights and change their plans based on new observations and thoughts.
