I touched on my motivation to develop the SummaryMate application in my previous article on creating SummaryMate, the AI summarizer and chatbot. In that article, I mentioned how I always wanted an application that could summarize content since I only sometimes have the time to read, watch, or listen to the content fully. A specific example for me is YouTube videos, where I often see interesting videos I want to know the contents of but donβt want to spend 20 minutes watching. SummaryMate solves this problem, as you can paste the YouTube URL into the application, and it will generate a summary of the video. Another motivation for me is sharing my ideas with an audience, inspiring others to develop products, and seeking validation and feedback.
