OpenAI released ChatGPT today — a new language model for a chat.

Introduction

OpenAI released ChatGPT today. ChatGPT is based on the GPT-3.5 model, which is fine-tuned with Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF).

The model is currently free and only available via OpenAI-website for research purposes. The model access is restricted with OpenAI credentials.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT is a sibling to the InstructGPT model. It differs in its data collection method.

The model uses the Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) algorithm with the RLHF.
