
Running an NLP Bert or Machine Learning Model from HuggingFace in Java

HuggingFace has made it extremely easy to run Machine Learning models in Python.
But what if you need to run these models in Java? A simple solution is to stand a Python service and make an HTTP request from Java.
But sometimes, you can’t issue HTTP requests to services. Therefore, how can you run a model directly in Java?
You can use the “Deep Java Library” (https://djl.ai/) and the “Open Neural Network Exchange” (https://onnx.ai/) to make things happen.
In this post, I’ll give a working example to get started.
