This post presents a viable Quartic roots solution, using a confected Y-Axis 180 deg rotation mirror image ‘SOSO’ twin function, with 2 opposing Quadratics to replicate roots. An intuitive play when toying with robotics’ function designs without the complexities of Ferrari’s formula.
For any 4 root Quartic polynomial, it is only required to find 2 roots as the other 2 can simply be found using the Extended Quadratic Equation I presented in, Cubic Polynomials — A Simpler Approach. I will include the method in this post for completeness.
