Nearly 15% of hospital patients in the U.S. are readmitted within 30 days of their initial discharge, which is often associated with worse outcomes and higher costs for both patients and hospitals. New York University, with NVIDIA experts, developed a large language model (LLM) that predicts a patient’s risk of 30-day readmission, as well as other clinical outcomes.
