And why customized AIs make me optimistic for the future

Have you ever wanted to clone yourself? I don’t mean physically, but rather technologically. Extract the expertise and knowledge you’ve spent a lifetime accumulating and β€œopen source” it. Well, I did just that! And I learned a lot along the way. Here’s how I did it.

When I wrote β€œDiversity, Equity and Inclusion: How to Succeed at an Impossible Job,” my primary goal was not to make money. My goal was to get the book in the hands of as many people as I could. I wanted to give them a resource that they could use in their daily work that was easy to access and was incredibly practical.

A print book has its limitations. In order to use it, you need to have it with you or you need to remember the content you read in the past. You need to be able to connect the challenge you are trying to solve with the chapter where the useful information lies. And you need to have the time and patience to reference it on the go.
