Every week, a new AI tool goes viral.
One promises to write your emails. Another claims it can summarize a textbook in seconds. Newsletters drop “must-try” lists. Social feeds are flooded with demos and hot takes.
As someone who builds with AI, I’ve been pulled into this current more times than I’d like to admit.
I open a tab to check out one tool, just for five minutes. Before I know it, I’m deep into four product demos, half-signed into three dashboards, and somehow watching a YouTube video titled “Top 20 ChatGPT Prompts for Productivity.”
And the thing I actually meant to do? Still untouched.
Sound familiar?
We’re in the middle of an AI boom. The pace of innovation is incredible. But so is the noise. It’s easy to feel like you’re always behind. Like there’s always one more tool you should be testing, bookmarking or building with.
But here’s the truth I’ve come to accept: chasing every shiny new tool isn’t sustainable and it’s not smart.
