Every time I have to make a few local visits, it always brings to mind the traveling salesperson dilemma. The solution to the traveling salesperson dilemma is known to everyone who has studied computer algorithms. The challenge is to determine the best route to visit, say, ten distinct locations. The complete avoidance of backtracking is advised. Even though the approach is simple, it still requires significant coding to implement in order to be used in practical scenarios.
