This week I am participating in Google’s 5-Day AI Agents Intensive Course. This is a week-long, hands-on sprint for building real AI agents. The program, created by Google’s ML researchers and engineers, combines theory, codelabs, and live discussions. Its goal is to help developers move beyond LLM demos and build production-ready systems that integrate models, tools, orchestration, memory, and evaluation.

Day 1 of Google’s AI Agents Intensive establishes fundamental concepts about building AI agents, focusing on the orchestration layer which governs agent decision-making and tool usage. The course emphasizes the importance of context engineering in enhancing agent performance, and practical exercises are provided through Kaggle codelabs. Topics such as the classification of agents based on their capabilities and different patterns for multi-agent systems are also covered, with a clear progression from singular agenda to collaborative frameworks that refine processes dynamically.
