I have been a mid-level marketing professional at a large oil and gas organization in India for more than fifteen years. I have seen firsthand how generative AI has been an absolute game changer at a personal level, but its successful adoption at an enterprise level has not been beyond serious doubts so far. Though professionals like me are now regularly using several LLMs and automations to improve the productivity at individual levels, GenAI adoption is yet to generate ROIs that CXOs are eyeing at the industry level, not only for the energy sector but across the industry.
