I’ve observed two intriguing trends that I believe will develop in parallel as the future of work unfolds.
One reflects AI reasoning models leveraging agentic workflows to rethink traditional scientific methods like Google’s recent AI Co-Scientist — while the other envisions a new type of vibe worker empowered by emerging tools.
Take a moment to consider this:
What’s evident is that AI is transforming not only how we approach R&D, but also how we build companies, develop products, and fundamentally engage in human creativity.
Launched on February 19, 2025, Google’s AI Co-Scientist is an advanced system built to help scientists generate new hypotheses and refine research proposals, aiming to accelerate scientific discovery.
It remains uncertain whether either of these approaches will radically reshape the future of work, but both are likely to continue evolving in fascinating ways throughout the 2020s.
Here’s Andrej Karpathy’s now-famous “vibe coding” tweet:
The tweet has garnered 4 million views what do you think makes it so impactful?
“There’s a new kind of coding I call “vibe coding”, where you fully give in to the vibes, embrace exponentials, and forget that the code even exists.” — Karpathy, Feb, 2025
Vibe coding is a modern approach to software development that leverages AI tools… Read the full blog for free on Medium.
