So, some of you may remember that around four weeks ago, there was a significant hype bubble around a new AI tool called Manus. At the time, you had to sign up for a waiting list to get access.
I duly did that, and the other day, I received notification that I had been approved to use Manus.
Manus is an autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agent developed by the Chinese startup company Monica. It was launched in early March 2025 and quickly gained significant attention for its ability to perform complex tasks independently without continuous human guidance.
Autonomy. Manus operates autonomously, handling tasks such as website creation, stock analysis, travel planning, and schedule management.Multi-Agent Architecture. It uses a multi-agent system where specialized sub-agents manage complex workflows.Cloud-Based Operation. Manus runs asynchronously in the cloud, allowing tasks to proceed without constant supervision.Real-Time Observability. It provides a side panel called “Manus’s Computer,” which shows the steps to complete tasks, offering transparency in its operations.Task Handling. Manus can analyze data, compile reports, and create interactive websites without direct human intervention.
