What’s AI Weekly
This week in What’s AI, I dive into Mistral’s Mixture of Experts model. First things first, what you know about Mixture of Experts is wrong. We are not using this technique because each model is an expert on a specific topic. In fact, each of these so-called experts is not an individual model but something much simpler. In this article, I tried to explain the MoE model as simply as possible and clarify some misconceptions around it. Check out the full article here or watch it on YouTube.

Featured Community post from the Discord
Tristanlecourtois created a repository using machine learning (ML) to develop a self-diagnostic endometriosis tool based solely on patient-reported symptoms. The goal is to create an easy-to-use model for women in the early stages of medical investigation, providing a preliminary indication of their likelihood of having endometriosis. Check it out on GitHub and support a fellow community member. Share your questions and feedback in the Discord thread!
AI poll of the week!
Since most users still rely on Google to find information, would you consider paying for Google Search? Tell us in the discussion thread, and for those who said ‘other,’ we are curious to know your sources!

A Journey Through Time Series, RNNs, LSTMs to the Pinnacle of Attention Mechanisms by Shenggang Li
Approaching Transformers and advanced language models for the first time can seem formidable. This post simplifies this complexity into something more approachable, starting with the basics of encoding and decoding, then RNNs and LSTMs, and further into the game changers, transformers, and attention models.

1. Face Off: Practical Face-Swapping with Machine Learning by Aliaksei Mikhailiuk
The author first explains face-swapping at the workplace and working on a face-swap lens. Diving deep into the subject, he has realized that there is a myriad of technological branches that address various parts of the problem. This article focuses on three main questions: What matters for a high-quality face swap method? What has been done in the past? And what to do in practice?
2. All You Need to Know about Sensitive Data Handling Using Large Language Models by Hussein Jundi
An estimated 328.77 million terabytes of data are created daily. Much of that data flows to data-driven applications, which process and enrich it every second. The increased adoption and integration of LLMs across mainstream products further intensified the use cases and benefits of utilizing text data. This article focuses on sensitive data handling using LLMs.
3. Sora AI: Unraveling Sora’s Architecture and Working Intuitively! by Prashant Kalepu
