How does an MCP work?
Ever since ChatGPT, Bard (now Gemini), and other LLM interfaces entered the scene, our workflows have changed dramatically. A whole ecosystem popped up: “Learn prompt engineering,” “Master ChatGPT,” and so on.

The article discusses the impact of language learning models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Gemini on workflows, emphasizing the necessity for a standard protocol called the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which streamlines interaction between LLMs and external resources. It details how MCP defines the communication process for LLMs and external tools, thereby enhancing efficiency and allowing for automation of tasks traditionally requiring manual input, ultimately empowering LLMs to perform actions rather than just provide information.
