A few months ago, I was having a conversation with a friend’s son, who was talking about the Olympiads and how to prepare for them. I had only appeared for the Physics one at the senior school level, so I provided him with my 2 cents. We discussed the mode, duration, and a little on the syllabus; we also discussed the scope of Physics as an undergraduate or a graduate degree and the portal it potentially opens up, and what are the pros and cons of a technical specialization such as engineering vs going into the hard physical sciences.
